About this Blog

I don’t really have much to say at this juncture.  I am getting this blog up and running for my intended July 2012 motorcycling adventures through 4 states and over 2,000 miles.  I have been planning this ride for roughly 12 months and in less than one month it will become a reality.

Dash is the bike that I will be riding…see him to the right of this page.  It is a 1976 Honda CB550 and I chose a 1976 purposefully because to hear my family tell it I began in 6th grade to pester my parents to buy me a Puch moped (to no avail I might add) and by my Freshman year in High School I was still insisting that a moped was a reasonable suggestion.  I eventually gave up but I never forgot.

I plan on writing from the road and also using a SPOT to track my real time ride.  So for now this will have to do.

I have been keeping this blog now since 2012 (it is 2015) and a lot has changed.  I now use the Delorme to track my ride and help me feel safe when I ride alone.  I also purchased another bike (2005 S2R 800 Ducati) which I love just as much as I love Dash.  She is called Bernadette.  Two very different rides that is for certain.  See the picture of Bernadette to the right of this page and just below Dash.
