For the 2nd ReunionTour I actually chose to ride Bernadette. Amazingly so many asked if I had sold dash I felt bad. Sell Dash? Never! How dare they. Well I was one of two Ducati’s– Aurore being the other. Her Ducati last year broke down and she had to have it towed. So clearly we were in the cross hairs. Well, this year….
Here is the map of the final ride
On Friday the route was- 150>33>166>223>99
The first picture is on the 33
On Saturday, the first day of the official tour the route was a lot of numbers and of course one tow truck!
99>216 ( Lover’s Lane) > 245> 198
A bunch of pictures. Here is the 33
Here is one in the 216
This is pretty much what I saw all Saturday. Such nice roads and of course the sweet smell of pine
And all the turns. Roughly 90 miles in total on Saturday
For those of you who do not ride look at the twist of that road…spectacular
Our group of 7 taking off…there were roughly 50 riders broken up into a bunch of groups. Apparently I was moved out of the remedial group and put into the advanced. How did that happen? These people ride like moto cross professionals. Geesh!
The vastness makes me feel so insignificant. A good lesson to be reminded of now and again
Here is the group I rode with: Kevin, Brent, Aurore, me, Dave, Jake, Steve and Rocky behind the camera
The two Ducati riders. Much teased. Everyone was waiting for one of us to break down. Such pessimism.
And then there was one
For literally the second year in a row Aurore’s Ducati was towed from the reunion. She is banned from riding a Ducati to the 3rd. Bernadette was flawless…that’s my girl
On Sunday the route was: 99> 137> 190> sequoia national forest> 178> Cal Bodfish Road> 233> 166> 33> 150> home sweet home
The 190 was a beautiful road
Going through Sequoia National Forest Rocky got a flat. Here is where we stopped to fix it (well I simply watched)
Rocky working hard to fix that tire
On our way, the flat all fixed, we ran into a bunch of rustlers on Cal Bodfish Rd, some beautiful winding lanes, my favorites the pine trees (they really smell remarkable)
A ribbon of road leading us home
Until the next ride…on Dash this time…
