My first ride in a really long time!

I cannot believe the last time I rode was in November.  That’s just wrong.  No wonder I was looking at other motorcyclists through jealous eyes.

Today I took a quick jaunt to Ojai just to give Dash a bit of a run and to check on this chain that will most likely be the death of me.  Dash did superbly.  That chain (and sprockets) is getting a 520 conversion kit as soon as I can (can’t run an O-ring on Dash unless I offset the front sprocket and converting from 530 to 520 seems the best bet).

The ride was a tad nippy BUT I also bought a new helmet so had to give that a try.  I re-wired it for my Sena 10C (that gets old super quick since I just installed it on my old X11).  My new helmet is still a Shoei but I purchased the RF-1200 and I really like it (plus it’s white this go round so will help me to be more visible).  I will miss my old X11 that thing has gone everywhere with me.  I’m a tad sad to retire it but Rick tells me my noggin’ will appreciate it should I run into a problem.

No cars to speak of on the twisties today just a nice pace while I practiced my leans and get accustomed to riding again.  Next weekend a longer ride is in order.
